I assume that that quote originated with the “30 Helens Agree” segment on The Kids in the Hall, a Canadian sketch comedy television series.

When I was planning on starting this website back in April, 2009, I was explaining to people that there were at least a hundred other people with the same idea.  I estimated that ten of us would probably really do something.  Of those ten, maybe a few of us would be able to turn it into something profitable.  (At this rate, I’m probably not going to be one of them… L )

I was looking at the Google Analytics for this site and discovered that someone else has actually been here!  I’m not sure if they were in Google and looking for “www.GoogleVoice.org” or if they were actually on www.GoogleVoice.org and followed a link, but in any case, I’m giving them an honorable mention here:

“Today’s Topic” is “Using GoogleVoice in Canada”, so it ties in with the TKITH theme of this article, but I don’t see an archive of other information.  i.e. it’s possible that everyday’s topic is “Using GoogleVoice in Canada”.  They suggest using MagicJack or Skype with Google Voice – A tip that should actually work from anywhere.  MagicJack offers free call forwarding (at least in the U.S., so I assume in Canada as well), so calls can still terminate on a real phone.  One of my hoped-for contributors for this site has set up a fantastic routing network using Google Voice accounts and MagicJack – hopefully he’ll have the time to write it up in the near future.

In the meantime, I wish the people at www.GoogleVoice.org well and invite them to link to this site and even to post their own content here as well.
